The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated Global HR CoE Portfolio Manager to join our Global HR Centre of Excellence (CoE) team. This is a critical role responsible for overseeing and managing a diverse portfolio of global HR projects and programs that enhance employee experience and organisational effectiveness.

As the Global HR Portfolio Manager, you will collaborate with HR leaders, regional stakeholders, and Japan HQ to ensure the successful delivery of initiatives aligned with NEC’s One NEC People Strategy and broader business objectives. What You’ll Do

  • Develop and manage the Global HR CoE portfolio of HR projects and programs, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate with Global HR CoE Leaders to identify, prioritise, and execute HR initiatives
  • Set the standards for project management governance across all HR initiatives within the CoE.
  • Oversee project planning, execution, and monitoring, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Conduct regular portfolio reviews, providing insights and updates on status, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership.
  • Implement best practices in project management and change management to ensure successful outcomes.

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience in project management, ideally within HR or complex matrix organisations.
  • Strong understanding of HR processes and practices, with a strategic and operational mindset.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders across regions and cultures.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools, including governance and reporting frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior leaders.
  • Analytical mindset, comfortable working with HR data and metrics to drive decisions.
