Cloud Practice Lead

Role:

The Cloud Practice Lead will oversee the development and execution of the company's cloud strategy. This role involves leading cross-functional teams, driving cloud adoption, and ensuring alignment with business objectives. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cloud technologies, strong leadership skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

To succeed in this role you must be a self-starter and have a positive attitude towards learning technical, business and industry concepts.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement the cloud strategy aligned with the company’s business goals.
• Spearhead cloud transformation and adoption initiatives within the business unit, fostering robust engagement and collaboration among internal stakeholders
• Identify emerging cloud trends and technologies to ensure the company stays competitive.
• Develop and drive adoption of Business Unit’s Cloud Native Enterprise Solution Architecture (ESA)
• Support pre-sales and post-sales activities with Cloud Practice expertise
• Define DevOps process for Business Unit. Establish and document the processes and workflows that will be used within the DevOps framework. This includes defining the CI/CD pipeline, automation practices, and monitoring strategies, secure buy-in from stakeholders. Foster a culture that embrace DevOps principles.
• Manage cloud migration projects from planning through execution, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
• Establish best practices for cloud architecture, governance, and security.
• Evaluate and manage relationships with cloud service providers and vendors.
• Negotiate contracts and service agreements to optimize cloud spend.
• Understanding of budgets and ability to manage a successful P&L
• Lead and mentor engineering staff

Job Requirements:

• At least a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), Computer Science / Information Technology or equivalent.
• 7+ years of experience in cloud computing, with a focus on architecture and operations.
• Proven track record of leading cloud projects in an enterprise environment.
• Experience and knowledge in; Data Centre technologies (on premise and cloud), Virtualisation, Storage (SAN), Public Cloud solutions (AWS, GCP, Azure), Hybrid Infrastructures, IaaS, PaaS
• Strong communication skills for stakeholders and client-facing technical presales
• Versatile and able to adapt readily & effectively to unexpected or changing conditions.
• Goal-Oriented with strong drive and initiative to deliver. Self-motivated. Able to meet deadlines. Good team player. Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
• Willing to work extended hours during project peak period.
