Mgr- Systems Engineering

Manager - Systems Engineering, NEC Corporation of America, San Jose.

Drive technical strategy for digital transformation products, aligning with company goals & market demands. Provide technical leadership & guidance on complex engineering challenges & architecture decisions. Lead design, development & delivery of next-generation AI services & solutions. Accountable for team of mgmt, prof staff & contractors of several partners located in U.S., Japan, India & other regions. Strengthen digital transformation techs, such as Digital Twin, Digital Identity, Network Connectivity & Cyber Security. Participate in tradeshows & conferences to collaborate w/ various startups & expand partner ecosystem. Prov mentorship & training to interns & engs.

Approx. 5% travel to various locations to perform high visibility projects & assignments is required. Most probable countries that will need to visit will be Japan, India, Saudi Arabia & Dubai, in addition to all states of U.S. Slight possibility to visit other countries in APAC.

Min reqs incl: Bachelor’s in Electronics & Telecommunications Eng, CS, CIS or Comp Eng, plus 1 yr prof exp, incl 1 yr exp in software & system eng; 1 yr exp in Software Defined networking; 1 yr exp in project & program mgmt; 1 yr programming exp (C, C++, SWL, JavaScript); & 1 yr exp in Cloud Archs.

May work from any location in CA subject to company hybrid work policy w/ several in-person meetings every week at office.

Salary $155,168.
