About the Role
NEC is expanding its presence in Western Australia and is looking for a UC System Engineer to join our Field Services Team in Perth. This is an outstanding opportunity to work with a global technology leader and contribute to delivering high-quality, innovative ICT services for enterprise and government customers.
In this role, you will provide on-site and remote support for NEC and multi-vendor voice and data environments. Based at a client’s site, you will be responsible for incident management resolution of their Unified Communications (UC) systems. You will ensure operational availability and meet service level expectations, working with some of the best technology in the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
· Incident/Request management to support calls
· Problem Management to support problems
· Change Management (inclusive of hardware Moves, Adds, & Changes) to support changes
· Management of spares for use during break-fix situations
· Support for the UC Solution implemented
· Assist with regular maintenance and changes to hardware
Preferred Experience:
· At least 4 years of experience in a similar role, managing and troubleshooting data and IP telecommunications networks in large corporate/government environments.
· Demonstrable experience with IP-based networks
· Experience with Cisco and UC-based IP Tel networks is preferred.
· Experience with Cisco Instance Messaging and Presence (IM&P)
· Experience with Cisco Unity Connection (CUC)
· Experience with Cisco Unified Contact Centre Express (UCCX)
Key Skills:
· Ability to prioritise tasks and self-manage your time effectively.
· Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills to resolve technical issues.
· Proven expertise in ICT project delivery and support.
· Capacity to learn and adapt to innovative technologies.
· Strong customer service and focus on quality outcomes.
· Good written and verbal communication skills essential
Qualifications Preferred:
· Degree or certification in IT or a related field.
· Cisco Associate-Level Certifications (CCNA) or equivalent.
· Cisco Professional – Level Certification (CCNP Collaboration)
· OH&S Construction Induction (White Card) preferred.
· ITIL Foundations Certificate is beneficial.
Additional Requirements:
· Working with Children Card
· Availability for on-call and after-hours support.
· National Police Clearance
