About the role
As a Program Manager at NEC Australia Pty Ltd, you will play a vital role in driving the successful delivery of Information Technology Infrastructure projects. Based in our Perth, WA office, this full-time position involves overseeing and coordinating multiple workstreams to ensure our clients' strategic initiatives are implemented effectively and efficiently.
Skills & Experience
- Self-motivated and strategic thinker, adept at collaborating with NEC executives to develop and implement strategies that ensure program success.
- Proven ability to lead and inspire large, diverse teams, effectively driving them toward achieving desired outcomes.
- Extensive financial acumen and expertise, with a proven ability to deliver accurate reporting, adhere to business processes, and ensure compliance with organisational standards.
- Delivering end-to-end medium to large, infrastructure-based projects.
- Building productive customer and service provider relationships.
- Working effectively with industry partners and third-party ICT suppliers.
- Managing relevant issues, risks, changes and financial responsibilities within the project
- Planning, scheduling and controlling, Implementing and directing the resources, people, funding and facilities to achieve the client’s objectives.
- Proficient in MS project management tools and methodologies (e.g. Prince 2/Agile/PMBOK)
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline (e.g. IT, engineering, business) or equivalent experience including ITIL.
Responsibilities
- Takes full ownership of the end-to-end management, coordination, definition, documentation, and successful delivery of projects.
- Prepares and maintains realistic project and quality plans while providing regular, accurate updates to stakeholders.
- Engages with stakeholders to ensure objectives and requirements are fully understood and met for the successful delivery of each project phase.
- Maintains open communication with project staff to identify potential issues, recommend solutions, and deliver actionable reports.
- Leads the project team effectively, addressing performance deviations to ensure alignment with agreed standards.
- Encourages open communication among stakeholders, using feedback to enhance understanding and prepare for necessary changes in services, products, or systems.
- Identifies potential risks, quantifies their likelihood and impact, and documents mitigation strategies.
- Coordinates the creation of contingency plans and countermeasures to address identified risks.
- Manages project budgets effectively, preparing financial status reports for Managers, Steering Committees, and Executive teams.
To be successful in this role, you will have exceptional written and verbal communication, negotiation, presentation skills. Whilst being able to build rapport quickly and maintain effective working relationships across all levels of a complex environment.
