Summary:

This internship role supports the Elev X! program's application, selection, and operational execution, primarily focused on Phase 1 and Phase 2 of Elev X! Ignite. The intern will assist with application intake, startup screening, coordination of pitch sessions, and program session logistics. The position offers hands-on exposure to startup ecosystems and venture incubation processes.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
60% – Application & Selection Operations 
•    Manage the application system, monitor submissions and communicate with applicants
•    Conduct initial screening
•    Assign reviewers and track evaluations
•    Schedule and moderate pitch sessions
•    Coordinate internal calendars and recordings
•    Support selection committee logistics
•    Manage onboarding and communications with selected founders
•    Maintain internal FAQ/Q&A resources

 

20% – Administrative & Team Support
•    Contribute to an operations manual
•    Join team meetings and provide process improvement suggestions
•    Participate in pitch judging when possible

 

10% – Additional Coordination
•    Manage miscellaneous scheduling and internal documentation
•    Support ad hoc requests related to program operations

 

10% – Suggestion for future improvements 
•    Proactively suggest enhancements and new approaches to improve recruitment, evaluation, and overall program operations

Prerequisites:
Education:    Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Entrepreneurship, Business, or a related field
Experience:    Some experience in startup support, operations, student leadership, or related coordination work preferred
Certifications, Licenses, etc:    Not required

 

Specialized Knowledge and Skills:
Language Skills:    Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
Mathematical Skills:    Basic spreadsheet (Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel) calculations and tracking
Reasoning Skills:    Ability to evaluate startup fit against program criteria and follow structured decision frameworks
Computer and/or Technical Skills:    Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Spreadsheets, Slides) and Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; working knowledge of Notion (including database features); familiarity with Calendly; hosting and managing esperience in video conferencing tools; experience with Box or Docsend for document management.
