Job Title: Cloud Project Trainee

Role Summary: The Cloud Project Trainee supports the planning, coordination, tracking, and documentation of cloud-related projects under the guidance of the Project Manager and senior team members. The role involves assisting with project schedules, status reporting, meeting coordination, stakeholder communication, and maintenance of project documentation while building foundational knowledge of cloud platforms, cloud operations, and project delivery practices. The trainee will contribute to smooth project execution, timely follow-up of action items, and continuous process improvement.

Responsibility:

1. Project Coordination and Planning Support
   • Assist in planning, tracking, and coordinating cloud project activities as per defined timelines and deliverables.
   • Support the Project Manager in maintaining project schedules, trackers, dashboards, and follow-up actions.
2. Documentation and Reporting
   • Prepare and maintain project documents such as meeting minutes, status reports, risk logs, issue trackers, and action item registers.
   • Ensure project information is recorded accurately and updated in a timely manner using approved tools and templates.
3. Stakeholder Communication and Meeting Support
   • Coordinate meetings, gather updates from team members, and support communication with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
   • Track open actions, follow up on pending deliverables, and help ensure timely closure of project tasks.
4. Cloud Operations and Technical Support Exposure
   • Support cloud-related project activities by coordinating basic technical inputs, environment readiness updates, and deployment follow-ups under supervision.
   • Develop foundational understanding of cloud platforms, services, monitoring, security, and operational practices relevant to ongoing projects.
5. Process Improvement and Team Collaboration
   • Collaborate with project, cloud, and support teams to improve project visibility, coordination, and delivery effectiveness.
   • Identify opportunities to improve reporting, documentation, and workflow efficiency while learning organizational project and quality standards.

Prerequisites:

Education and Certifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (or pursuing final year studies).
• Basic knowledge of cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud is preferred; cloud fundamentals certification is an advantage.

Skills and Competencies

• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Good organizational and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Basic understanding of project management concepts, reporting, and documentation practices.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word for reporting and presentations.
• Team player with a proactive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work in a dynamic environment.

Technical Knowledge

• Understanding of cloud computing concepts including IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, virtualization, storage, networking, and security basics.
• Familiarity with project tracking or collaboration tools such as MS Project, Excel trackers, Jira, ServiceNow, or similar platforms is an advantage.

Additional Requirements

• Willingness to learn cloud technologies, project delivery processes, and organizational standards.
• Ability to work with global teams and support projects across multiple time zones when required.
