Job Title: Azure Architect – Terraform (IaC & Automation)

Role Summary: We are seeking an Azure Engineer with expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and a strong background in cloud architecture, automation, and security best practices. The candidate will collaborate with Architects, Development, and Operations teams to design, implement, and optimize Azure cloud solutions, ensuring scalability, security, and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement Azure cloud infrastructure, focusing on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and containerized workloads, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.
- Develop Terraform-based IaC for Azure resource provisioning, managing multi-environment deployments.
- Deploy and optimize AKS clusters, including scaling, networking, and security policies.
- Implement Azure Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), encryption, and network security best practices.
- Oversee cloud operations, ensuring high availability, incident response, and disaster recovery strategies for Azure environments.
- Monitor Azure services using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics.
- Implement and maintain cloud operations frameworks, including automated monitoring, logging, and alerting.
- Optimize performance, security, and cloud costs using Azure Auto Scaling, Reserved Instances, and Cost Management.
- Collaborate with Product Managers to define functions, services, quality parameters, and cost considerations for Azure-based platforms.
- Promote technology selection and standardization while ensuring future scalability and interoperability by designing flexible, adaptable architectures.
- Integrate Azure cloud requirements into the technology roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Continuously refine and enhance cloud strategies based on technical feasibility, cost efficiency, and industry trends.
Prerequisites:
- 8+ years of experience in cloud architecture, specializing in Azure, Terraform, Kubernetes (K8s)/AKS.
- Hands-on expertise in Azure services, including Azure Virtual Networks (VNet), NSGs, Load Balancers, Storage Accounts, and Key Vault.
- Strong background in CI/CD integration using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
- Expertise in cloud security, cost optimization, and governance best practices.
- Networking expertise in Azure VNet, subnets, NSGs, firewalls, route tables, load balancing, and DNS management.
- Experience in cloud operations, including incident management, monitoring, and operational efficiency.
- Scripting experience in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation.
Qualification: B.tech/MCA/MBA
Desirable qualities:
- Multi-cloud experience (Azure, AWS, GCP) with knowledge of AWS EKS or GKE.
- Familiarity with ETL, API, and other data integration technologies.
- Knowledge of data visualization using BI tools.
- Azure certifications (Azure Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, or Security Engineer).
- Experience with Azure Bicep, ARM Templates, and cloud security best practices.
