Role Summary: As an Apprentice, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced developers and learn industry-standard software development practices. This apprenticeship will help you hone your skills in Java programming, object-oriented design, and problem-solving, while contributing to real-world projects. You will gain exposure to various development tools, frameworks, and technologies commonly used in modern applications.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail in daily work.
- Basic Knowledge of Java: Familiarity with Java programming fundamentals and basic object-oriented principles.
- Understanding of Databases: Knowledge of working with relational databases such as MySQL. Experience with database querying is a plus.
- Problem-Solving Ability: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a willingness to tackle new challenges.
- Familiarity with Development Tools: Experience using IDEs like IntelliJ IDEA, Eclipse, or NetBeans.
- Understanding of Version Control: Basic understanding of Git for version control and experience with GitHub or GitLab.
- Strong Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively within a team, ask questions, and seek feedback when needed.
- Team Player: A collaborative attitude and eagerness to contribute to team projects.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to write clean, organized, and efficient code while adhering to development best practices.
- Educational Background: Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Computer Science or related field, or equivalent self-taught experience.
- Potential for Full-Time Employment: Successful apprentices may be considered for full-time employment upon completion of the program.
