The IT Service Continuity Management (ITSCM) Practitioner is a key member of the Service Management and Service Integration & Management (SIAM) function, operating within a complex multi-vendor environment. The team will be responsible for the implementation and management of ITIL processes such as Service Continuity Management, Availability Management, and Capacity Management amongst others. 

 

This role ensures that IT service continuity policies and processes are consistently applied, monitored, and assured across all service providers, safeguarding the resilience and availability of critical IT services. This role also focuses on continuous improvement and the alignment of services to evolving business needs, ensuring successful service transition into BAU and ongoing efficient delivery. The ITSCM Practitioner will leverage current and emerging ITIL frameworks and best practices to enhance service delivery and will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive service management excellence.

 

Key Accountabilities

  • Ensure adherence to established IT service continuity policies, standards, and processes across all vendors.

  • Monitor compliance with ITIL-aligned practices, and organisational governance requirements.

  • Provide assurance that continuity processes are embedded and followed consistently.

  • Support the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT service continuity frameworks and plans.

  • Provide education and awareness of the capability across the multi-vendor environment.

  • Coordinate continuity testing and exercises across multiple vendors to validate recovery capabilities.

  • Review and assess service continuity documentation to ensure alignment with business needs.

  • Act as a central point of contact between internal stakeholders and external service providers.

  • Facilitate collaboration across vendors to resolve gaps, risks, or non-compliance in continuity practices.

  • Promote a culture of resilience and proactive risk management across the SIAM ecosystem.

  • Identify risks to service continuity and recommend mitigation strategies.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, contractual, and organisational requirements related to IT service resilience.

  • Report on continuity assurance findings to senior management and governance boards.

  • Capture lessons learned from continuity events and exercises, driving improvements into processes.

  • Recommend enhancements to continuity frameworks, policies, and practices.

  • Stay current with industry best practices and emerging trends in IT service continuity.

 

Key Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience within ITSM roles with a focus on implementing and managing ITIL practices across service lifecycyles.

  • Strong knowledge and proven experience with ITIL Service Management practices, particularly IT Service Continuity Management, Availability Management and Capacity Management.

  • Experience working in a multi-vendor SIAM environment, with proven ability to assure compliance across diverse providers.

  • Familiarity with risk management, compliance frameworks, and audit processes.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and assure compliance across diverse teams.

  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

  • Minimum AGSVA Baseline Clearance.

  • ITIL V4 Foundation.

  • SIAM Certification desirable.

Role will commence in mid-January 2026.
