Role Summary:
Responsible for defining and enforcing quality standards for the Payment Hub system (ISO20022). The QA Lead will lead test strategy and planning, oversee manual and automated testing, review deliverables for compliance, and manage quality-related risks. This role also includes managing a QA team of up to ten members to ensure effective collaboration and timely delivery.
Job Description /Responsibilities: Define quality standards and acceptance criteria aligned with project requirements.
- Develop and maintain test strategy, planning, and review processes.
- Oversee implementation of automation and manual testing activities.
- Conduct deliverable reviews (test plans, test cases, automation scripts) for completeness.
- Manage quality-related risks and ensure mitigation plans are in place.
- Provide leadership and guidance to a QA team of up to ten members, including task allocation and performance monitoring.
- Support QA team members with technical guidance and issue resolution.
- Track QA activities, prepare status reports, and communicate progress to PM.
- Collaborate with PM for bug triage and prioritization.
- Maintain close communication with Japan-side team via Teams and email
Technical Skills (Mandatory): Strong understanding of software testing methodologies (manual and automated).
- Experience in test planning, strategy development, and quality assurance processes.
- Proven ability to lead and manage QA teams.
- Experience with web automation testing tools (e.g., Playwright, Selenium, Cypress).
- Familiarity with ISO20022 standards and payment systems.
- Knowledge of automation tools and scripting languages.
- Basic knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Microsoft Playwright experience preferred.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in financial systems or payment platforms.
- Exposure to RHEL and AIX environments.
- Ability to manage distributed teams and coordinate across geographies.
- Basic knowledge of bash/ksh.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- ISTQB or equivalent QA certification preferred.
- Relevant certifications in Linux/Unix administration are a plus.
Specialization Description
Synthesizes customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledges technical, schedule and cost constraints. Develops and directs preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules for completing systems. Coordinates integrated testing activities. Reviews and evaluates test requirements to insure completeness of test program. Performs technical analysis of complete systems and prepares comprehensive system level evaluations.
