Contract Administrator - Remote position in the US

 

We are seeking a Contract Administrator who has experience with sell side Proposals in Government / Federal &/or State and Local contracts within the IT and SaaS industry.

This role support technology business units that deal in biometrics and digital ID, supporting sell side contracts for Federal, State and Local Government

and Aviation clients.
 

Summary:

Responsible for the administration of small to medium sized Government, State and Local, and Federal contracts, including the preparation, review and editing of sell side proposals and contractual provisions. This position is responsible for the review and negotiation of government and commercial contracts. More specifically, this position will conduct proposal reviews, contract negotiations, and administration of major government and commercial contracts. Requires the strong ability to develop solutions to complex business/contractual problems using a high degree of analysis and understanding of technology products and services, and internal and external policies and regulations. The ideal candidate has excellent communication and customer service skills, works well in a team environment, and is detail-oriented and organized.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for reviewing, drafting, and negotiating of technology contracts, including but not limited to, software service and license agreements, non-disclosure agreements, statements of work and sales contracts.
  • Ensuring contracts conform with company policy while maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and responsiveness.
  • Identifies and analyzes non-standard contract terms with internal legal counsel, subject matter experts and business unit/management staff.
  • Anticipate problems, initiate actions, and participate in projects, as necessary, to ensure contracts are managed and processed efficiently.
  • Assists with preparation of proposals, participates in fact finding and negotiations; provide risk assessments and offers creative contracting approaches to mitigate risks, including alternative contractual language/clauses.
  • Provide guidance to team members to ensure RFP/RFQ contractual requirements can be achieved and assist in developing alternate strategies in order to maintain a compliant response/proposal.
  • Summarize, advise on & interpret contract policies, procedures, rules, methods, operating practices, and performance standards in support of State, Local and Federal Government procurement procedures.

Prerequisites:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience: A minimum of four to six years’ experience with contracts.  
  • High level of understanding of contractual terms, including the ability to interpret, edit and negotiate contracts is required
  • Working knowledge and understanding of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Department of Defense FAR Supplement (DFAR) is desired, but not required. 
  • Ability to read, analyze, interpret and summarize bids, proposals, contracts and other legal documents efficiently and effectively to verify accuracy, completeness and compliance.
  • Must be customer service focused and have excellent time management skills
  • Must be able to prioritize, plan and analyze and execute multiple and complex contract related activities
  • Certifications, Licenses, etc: Paralegal, J.D. or contract management certifications strongly preferred.
  • Software as a Service (SaaS) experience desired, but not required.

 

Specialized Knowledge and Skills:

  • Language Skills: Excellent writing skills and communications skills.
  • Mathematical Skills: Basic knowledge.
  • Reasoning Skills: Ability to evaluate options and arrive at solutions that support the company. 
  • Requires ability to communicate well (both verbal and written), and work collaboratively as team members and/or on an individual basis.
  • Computer and/or Technical Skills: Working knowledge of MS Office Products.

 

The anticipated salary range for this position is $80,000 - $105,000 with a target annual 10% bonus; depending upon the selected candidate’s relevant experience, the exact salary for the role may fall outside of this range. This role will also be eligible to participate in the Company’s bonus/incentive program(s).
