Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Full Stack Developer to join our innovative team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in microservice development in cloud environments, proficiency in modern front-end frameworks, and specialized knowledge in biometrics software. This role requires a strong understanding of DevOps practices, including Infrastructure as Code (IaC), to support scalable and efficient system architectures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
20% - Requirements and Design:
- Participate in the development of functional specifications based on requirements provided by the product team.
- Translate functional specifications into high-level technical designs to guide development efforts.
30% - Application Development:
- Develop and maintain application features, including designing, coding, unit testing, documentation, and conducting code reviews to ensure high-quality deliverables.
25% - Component and Framework Development:
- Design, develop, and maintain reusable components, frameworks, and libraries to enhance code reuse, software scalability, and performance.
10% - Technical Guidance:
- Provide inputs to team members to resolve questions related to program intent, data input/output requirements, and implementation of internal checks and controls.
15% - Additional Responsibilities:
- Lead and contribute to team discussions, including design sessions and code reviews.
- Perform performance optimization and testing to ensure efficient and reliable applications.
- Assist with software release and build management processes.
- Support the test team in setting up test beds and resolving build-related issues.
- Mentor and provide on-the-job training to new and junior team members to foster skill development.
Required Qualifications:
Cloud and Microservices: 5+ years of experience in developing and deploying microservices and containerized applications on AWS and/or Azure. Strong understanding of distributed system and service architecture in cloud environments.
Full Stack Development: Proven expertise in front-end development with React and/or Angular, and back-end development with Node.js, Java, or TypeScript. Ability to build end-to-end solutions with a focus on performance and user experience.
Biometrics Software: Hands-on experience in developing or integrating biometrics software solutions, such as facial recognition, fingerprint scanning, or other identity verification systems.
DevOps and IaC: Practical knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Azure Resource Manager) to manage cloud infrastructure and service configurations.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to teamwork and knowledge sharing.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes or Docker Swarm.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
- Knowledge of security best practices for cloud-based applications and biometrics systems.
The anticipated salary range for this position is $128,000 to $165,000 with a target annual 15% bonus; depending upon the selected candidate’s relevant experience, the exact salary for the role may fall outside of this range. This role will also be eligible to participate in the Company’s bonus/incentive program(s).
