What You’ll Do

As part of a dynamic, 6-person Scrum team, you’ll drive innovation through two-week sprints in an Agile environment. Your work will span the full software development lifecycle, creating scalable, high-performance applications that power MBIS. Here’s what you’ll tackle:

 

  • Design and Develop Microservices: Build robust frontend and backend microservices in a cloud-native environment, leveraging Java, Spring Boot, Node.js, and REST APIs.

  • Innovate with Biometric Workflows: Use BPMN with Kafka and activities libraries to craft seamless workflows for biometric processing.

  • Optimize and Enhance: Troubleshoot, fix bugs, and implement enhancements to ensure MBIS remains a global leader in performance and reliability.

  • Embrace DevOps Excellence: Deploy solutions using Docker, Kubernetes, and Maven/Jenkins CI/CD pipelines, ensuring smooth, scalable delivery.

  • Collaborate and Lead: Work closely with your team to solve complex challenges, mentor junior developers, and contribute to architectural decisions.

Who You Are

You’re a results-driven, versatile developer with a passion for solving tough problems and building impactful solutions. You bring:

 

  • 6+ years of experience designing and developing enterprise-class, scalable applications.

  • Technical Expertise:

    • Core Skills: Java (6+ years), Spring Boot, Hibernate, Struts, JPA, Node.js, JMS, JUnit, Azure SQL or MS-SQL.

    • Scripting: Proficiency in Perl or Python.

    • DevOps: Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Maven, Jenkins CI/CD, and TFS or equivalent source control tools.

    • Other: Familiarity with BPMN, Kafka, REST APIs, and microservices architecture.

  • Problem-Solving Prowess: Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills to tackle complex technical challenges.

  • Agile Mindset: Comfortable thriving in a fast-paced, collaborative Scrum environment.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $128,000 to $165,000 with a target annual 10% bonus; depending upon the selected candidate’s relevant experience, the exact salary for the role may fall outside of this range. This role will also be eligible to participate in the Company’s bonus/incentive program(s).
