What You’ll Do
As a Senior Account Executive, you’ll be entrusted with growing our biometric solutions business, including Automated Fingerprint Identification Systems (AFIS), Multimodal Biometric Identification Systems (MBIS), and other cutting-edge technologies tailored for law enforcement and public safety. Your key responsibilities will include:

 

  • Drive New Business (60%):
    • Proactively identify and engage prospective clients in state and local government, law enforcement, and public safety sectors to uncover their needs.
    • Deliver compelling, tailored presentations that showcase how NEC’s biometric solutions address critical challenges.
    • Close high-value, complex sales deals that align with NEC’s business objectives and profitability goals.
    • Maintain meticulous sales records and provide insightful reports to track progress toward ambitious revenue targets.

 

  • Build Lasting Relationships (20%):
    • Foster strong, ongoing partnerships with clients through regular communication, including phone calls and on-site visits.
    • Keep clients informed about new and enhanced solutions, ensuring they stay ahead of the curve.
    • Act as a trusted advisor, relaying client feedback to our product development teams to drive innovation.

 

  • Lead and Strategize (20%):
    • Mentor colleagues and contribute to a collaborative, high-performing sales culture.
    • Provide strategic insights to leadership on market expansion, new market entries, and potential mergers or acquisitions.
    • Position yourself as a key player in succession planning, with opportunities to step into leadership roles.

What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a seasoned professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-impact environment and brings the following qualifications:

 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience: 8+ years of solution sales experience in the IT and biometrics industry, with a focus on law enforcement, public safety, or civilian applications. Expertise in AFIS, MBIS, or related technologies is a strong plus.
  • Skills:
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional presence that inspires confidence.
    • Deep knowledge of sales strategies and the ability to navigate complex, high-stakes deals.
    • Proficiency with PCs, software applications, and CRM tools; comfort with frequent phone and virtual communication.
  • Work Style: Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to manage high levels of responsibility in a dynamic environment.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel frequently within the Midwest to East Coast territory and potentially internationally.

  • Competitive Compensation: Anticipated base salary range of $122,000–$159,000, plus a target sales incentive of $110,000. Your final salary may vary based on experience.
