Systems Engineer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Systems Engineer to join our Corporate IT team supporting the NEC IT environment

This is a fixed term contract role for a period of 9 months commencing on 1st July

Key responsibilities will include:

• Lead or contribute to migrations from on-premises AD/SCCM to cloud-only Entra ID and Intune.

• Support and manage hybrid environments with SCCM co-management where applicable.

• Plan and deliver seamless Microsoft 365 tenant migrations with a focus on minimal user disruption.

• Design, implement, and support Intune workloads, including:
  • Autopilot device provisioning
  • Configuration, Compliance, and Conditional Access policies
  • Endpoint security: BitLocker, Defender Antivirus, Attack Surface Reduction (ASR), Local Administrator Password Solution (LAPS), Firewall
  • Apple device management using Apple DEP and App Protection Policies
  • Integration of Intune with NDES for certificate-based authentication

• Manage and maintain Microsoft Teams, including the setup and support of Microsoft Teams Rooms.

• Administer Microsoft Entra ID, focusing on:
  • Enterprise Applications
  • Identity lifecycle and access management

• Evaluate and implement Essential 8 maturity level 2 controls on end-user compute prospective.

Experience:

• Proven experience in managing and migrating to Microsoft 365 and Intune environments.
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory, SCCM, and Entra ID.
• Expertise in Intune workloads and endpoint security.
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft Teams and hands-on experience with Teams Room deployments.
• Familiarity with Apple device management and NDES integration.
• Proven involvement in Microsoft 365 tenant-to-tenant migrations.
• Experience with Essential 8 maturity level 2 controls implementation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, MS-102: Microsoft 365 Administrator.
