Our Portfolio Management group are responsible for developing and managing products and solutions throughout their lifecycle, aligning customer needs with business objectives, and driving continuous performance and innovation in market.
We are now looking for a National Portfolio Manager (Secure Networking) to join our team.
Location is flexible across all capital cities.
The National Portfolio Manager role is responsible for the vision, roadmap and execution strategy, including managing portfolio lifecycle, services catalogue, GTM and optimising performance and profitability in market of an allocated portfolio. The incumbent will develop new services, solutions and offerings in line with the introduction process and governance to ensure that we are developing and building strong repeatable solutions to address the business needs of a customer segment or vertical market. The role will own lifecycle management of services in the allocated portfolio to maintain customer relevance and service offer profitability through the sales stages of growth, maturity, saturation and potential retirement or replacement.
Key Responsibilities
- Set and own portfolio vision, plan and roadmaps and clearly articulate those across the business.
- Develop new solutions and offerings relevant to NEC market and strategy. Including collaboration with internal BUs, NECJ and external partners as required.
- Manage portfolio lifecycle, from introduction to exit, creating repeatable and profitable solutions and offerings. Including development of investment case for introduction and onboarding of new solutions. Assist with offer support activities, feature requests & platform updates where solution complexities are required.
- Develop and maintain a service catalogue that sales teams are enabled to sell, and delivery teams are capable of delivering.
- Lead Go-to-Market execution- define GTM approach, articulate customer value propositions and messaging and enable sales and marketing to sell and promote the offerings in market.
- Own overall financial performance of the portfolio and actively work to optimise profitability and value to customers.
- Develop competitive offerings- understand competitive landscape, actively identify market trends and opportunities, and adapt NECA offerings based on market and customer feedback.
- Drive innovation and thought leadership and act as a Portfolio evangelist -evangelise NEC propositions in market, partner effectively internally and externally to position NEC as a market leader.
- Guide the Solution and pre-sales Architects through the development of Designs as needed.
- Build a strong appreciation and understanding of NECA delivery capabilities and assist the delivery teams with forward planning of skills and requirements to complement our Technology Solution Vision and Roadmap.
Key Skills and Experience
- Deep domain knowledge across secure networking solutions from vendors such as Cisco, HPe Aruba, Fortinet, Checkpoint, Palo Alto etc.
- Previous experience within network managed services, how these solutions are constructed and how they are optimised over time.
- Experience in a market / customer facing role with a strong commercial acumen (including the ability to write business cases) and understanding of solutions marketing and business development
- Background in solution & enterprise architecture, customer focus, strong presentation skills, CXO-level engagement to articulate business value
- Experience in portfolio/solution/product management
- Proven understanding of product/solutions business, support structures and processes, Sales cycles, pipeline management, business reporting, negotiation skills, Executive engagement
