About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Technical Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operation, support, and performance of our client’s technology services. This role is pivotal in ensuring seamless service delivery, proactively managing events, and driving operational excellence across the technology team. You’ll be responsible for monitoring overall technology health—including fault detection, capacity planning, and performance optimisation, while providing strong leadership and maintaining ITIL-aligned service operations across incident, service request, problem, and change management.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and guide the Technical Team, ensuring reliable network operations, proactive monitoring, and service continuity across multiple locations.

Take ownership of escalated incidents and major outages, delivering swift resolutions, clear communications, and thorough documentation.

Establish and maintain technical policies, procedures, and best practices, with a focus on compliance and continuous improvement.

Support and develop team members through mentoring, performance management, recruitment, and fostering a collaborative culture.

Partner with stakeholders and vendors, generate operational reports, and act as a key escalation point for critical issues.
Experience & Skills
-
Proven leadership experience in technical operations, with strong customer service and project management expertise.

At least 5 years’ experience in IT technical operations, including 3+ years in a leadership or managerial capacity.

Strong knowledge of networking and related technologies, combined with a customer-first approach to IT support.

Hands-on experience managing ITIL-based service operations, including incident, problem, and change management.

Demonstrated HR and people management skills—team development, conflict resolution, delegation, and performance oversight.

A track record of building and sustaining a proactive, high-performing team culture.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with stakeholders at all levels.
