Service Asset & Configuration Analyst

As a Service Asset & Configuration Analyst at NEC Australia Pty Ltd, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimising the company's IT infrastructure and systems. Based in Darwin NT 0800, this full-time position will see you responsible for managing the organisation's IT assets and configurations, ensuring they are properly documented, controlled and aligned with business requirements.

For the right candidate, additional training will be provided to help you support the maintenance of configuration item details and manage the relationships recorded within a Configuration Management Database (CMDB).

 

The experience & capabilities needed

  • Familiar with Asset Management and following work instructions
  • Have in-depth Microsoft Excel experience for reporting purposes and regular audits
  • Have a strong attention to detail and absolute data accuracy
  • Can work well under pressure with agility to change daily and to learn to prioritise your workload. 
  • Have experience and a passion for exceptional Customer Service
  • A keenness to understand ITIL methodology.
  • Have a willingness for self-development and obtaining of industry certifications. 

 

The role responsibilities include

  • Assist with standard monthly metrics and reports, including Asset and Configuration data quality  
  • Accurate and timely documentation of work performed. This includes system documentation, Incident/Request/Problem ticket updates, Asset and Configuration records and time reporting. 
  • Prompt and effective Customer Service actioned when dealing with client requests, questions and concerns.
  • Controlling the receipt, identification, storage and withdrawal of all supported configuration items within the CMDB 
  • Actively participate in service improvement activities
