About the Role
We’re looking for a Security Engineer to join our team and play a key role in maintaining and strengthening our customers’ security environments. In this role, you’ll ensure security operations meet contractual deliverables and service level agreements (SLAs), while providing expert support across a range of activities.

 

You’ll be involved in day-to-day security operations including implementing customer requests, supporting project design and installations, incident and problem management, reporting, and assisting Senior Security Engineers. Building trusted relationships with both customers and internal stakeholders is also essential to achieving successful outcomes.

 

Key Responsibilities
As a Security Engineer, you will:

  • Develop, implement and manage Application Allowlisting configurations.

  • Conduct software vulnerability assessments and perform upgrades and patching as required.

  • Perform secure data restorations as requested by customers.

  • Test, implement, monitor and tune security software/hardware to ensure optimal performance and proactively highlight potential issues.

  • Create and maintain documentation and work instructions for security services.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues impacting security system availability, performance, capacity, and utilisation in line with SLAs.

  • Analyse traffic data and recommend improvements to security infrastructure.

  • Provide security consultation to customers, including risk management and mitigation strategies.

  • Deliver onsite support to customers and field staff in resolving system and application-related issues.

 

Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role, you’ll bring:

  • 2+ years’ experience in Cyber Security with hands-on analytics.

  • Strong IT security product knowledge (GUI and CLI).

  • Solid understanding of Windows Server, Desktop OS, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, DFS, Exchange, and Teams, with the ability to apply Server Engineer skills to security initiatives.

  • Knowledge of technology risk, data privacy, and security compliance regulations.

  • Proven experience supporting information security devices and processes.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Strong grasp of attack tactics, techniques, and procedures.

  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
