About the role

The role of Network Engineer (provisioning) is a great prospect to be surrounded by a supportive and like-minded team, with growth opportunities to behold. This is an opportunity to become a critical part within the NEC Network Services Team as a Level 2 engineer. This role will see you being focussed on the implementation of customer network change requests, installations, project implementation and be mentored to assist Senior Network Engineers on projects to provide network services to our NEC customers.

 

Skills and Experience

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in deploying and supporting network technologies.
  • Experience implementing and managing multi-protocol route/switch network environments.
  • Hands on experience in deploying and supporting Cisco and Aruba wireless solutions including authentication and management components.
  • Required: CCNA or equivalent.
  • Proven ability to build effective working relationships with customers and internal staff.
  • Familiarity with ITIL and ITSM frameworks.
  • Experience working within a project environment.
  • Using and understanding troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Maintaining accurate recording of all operational assets (hardware, software).
  • Desirable: CCNP, SDWAN, SDA, Cloud Networks, CCNA Wireless, ACSA, ACMA, JNCIA, JNCIS Routing & Switching, Python.
