General Information Technology work involves managing or performing work across multiple areas of an organization’s overall IT Platform/Infrastructure including analysis, development, and administration of:

• IT Systems Software, Hardware, and Databases
• Data & Voice Networks
• Data Processing Operations
• End User Technology & Software Support Conducts cost/benefit analyses for proposed IT projects as input to the organization’s IT roadmap.Specialization Match Note: Incumbents matching to this specialization are typically found in organizations with smaller/less complex IT Functions and perform work related to all areas of their organization’s IT Platform/Infrastructure.

Level Description

Fully proficient and mostly independent individual contributor. A recognized subject matter expert in job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience. Works on large projects to achieve operational targets with a significant impact on function / sub-function results. May be responsible for setting day-to-day operational objectives for the team, as well as may direct workflow to other team members. Coaches and reviews the work of lower level professionals. Problems faced are difficult and often complex.
